Nick J. Perry is a photographer with more than two decades of experience making photographs. His work is interested in the parts of being human that feel personal until we realize they’re universal, moving between humor, vulnerability, intimacy, awkwardness, and quiet moments of self-recognition.

Whether working observationally or constructing images, Perry is less interested in simply documenting people than in responding to moments he recognizes in them—the small contradictions, emotions, and experiences we quietly share.

He studied photography at University of Central Florida.

At the center of his work is a belief that the experiences that make us feel the most alone are often the ones we all share.
